In The Ear hearing Instruments

CIC, ITC and ITE hearing instruments ITE: An In-The-Ear hearing instrument is custom designed and fits entirely in the ear. This model is often chosen for ease of use, cosmetic appearance and functionality.

In-The-Canal hearing instrument is similar to an ITE instrument, but is smaller in size.

CIC: A Completely-In-the-Canal hearing instrument is the smallest hearing aid that is manufactured. It is designed to fit entirely in the ear canal virtually invisible.

BTE - Behind-The-Ear hearing instruments

Behind-The-Ear hearing instruments These hearing instruments rest behind the earlobe and connected to the ear by a custom earmold. BTE's are well-suited for children because as their ear grows, the only thing that needs to be replaced is the earmold and not the whole hearing instrument. This hearing instrument is also going to have more power based on the size, thus it is well-suited for a wide range of hearing losses from mild to profound.

Behind-The-Ear hearing instruments with integrated FM receiver

BTE hearing instruments with FM In addition to conventional BTE hearing instruments, Phonak offers the first digital hearing computers with fully integrated FM receivers - hearing and understanding even in the most difficult listening situations.
